Summer cleaning?

I've heard of spring cleaning, but it seems that various people have been engaging in some summer cleaning recently. Yesterday three things brought this to our attention. Our neighbor down the street called us to confess that she had just come across some Girl Scout cookies we ordered in April and never received. Secondly, a Christmas letter we mailed on the 17th of December, 2003, was returned to us, marked "Moved - return to sender." Only took them eight months to decide where it should end up! Maybe it fell between a desk and the wall or something. And finally, my mother called and told me she'd been going through various notes I had written to her when I was eleven or twelve...I'm glad she saved those. I think finding memories like that is the best part of deep cleaning.
