Great Things about December in California

* Celebrating Advent as a family on Sunday nights with our Advent wreath & candles, carols, reenactments of the Christmas account, prayer and hot cider

* Fires every day in the hearth

* The last rose of the season (my camera didn't quite see what I was aiming for and I didn't notice until later, but I still like the composition of this photo...)

* Baking with my girl (this is our double-decker M&M cake from the other day)
