Run On Sentences

Oh my goodness, this run-on-sentence of Andrea's is so great. My days are just like that except I don't have any teenagers yet and I don't have any toddlers anymore. Everything always gets interrupted and I'm in the middle of sixteen things at once and I grab whichever one seems like it might get finished relatively soon... as illustrated by the laundry in the dryer that has been run through 2 times already and is cold again because I was putting away groceries and toasting some banana nut bread for my son and emptying the dishrack, and we were all opening our first windows on our advent calendars and saying goodbye to dad as he went to work and starting schoolwork and blowing noses, and I had to referee arguments about who was pushing whom to jockey for space by the fire and correct math tests and answer an important email from a friend (still in the middle of that), check email, dip into the backlog of aggregator feeds while staring back at the pile of Christmas card envelopes brazenly challenging me from the middle of the table and administer a spelling test, then take a break to apologize to another child for raising my voice after getting particularly frustrated...and I still need to take a shower (though I'm dressed because I went shopping early). At least I had breakfast. Around this time last year I got my first (and hopefully only) UTI (urinary tract infection), because I was too busy to be bothered to go the bathroom in a timely fashion (or drink enough). I shall certainly endeavor to avoid that silliness this year. Uh oh, recess is over. I'll just nip into the ladies' room and then get myself a glass of cranberry-raspberry juice before calling the kids back to school...Have a great run-on-sentence day, all stay-at-home moms everywhere, especially those with babies, toddlers, and/or homeschoolers!
