Generally No Idea
Opening my laptop is practically lethal to whatever else I'm doing. It's like diving into the deep, dark chasms at the bottom of the ocean. There's almost no return.
For instance, at the moment, I am totally and utterly clueless as to the reason I lifted the white lid of this cute little iBook G4. The machine is somehow mesmerizing. It has something to do with my programs for email, reading (and writing!) weblogs, and viewing the very useful and interesting web.
I am in the middle of cooking dinner (it's happily simmering as it should be, though, so that's okay), and was about to set out the school table for tomorrow. I know I was just going to do one small task on the computer first...but ended up reading and forwarding some emails, reading a comment, and, of course, writing this. Now what was I really intending to accomplish?
Oh well, my original purpose here will surely come to me as soon as I put it back to sleep. Sleep lightly, baby.
(P.S. I know no one can identify with this post in the least)
Oh no, wait, I remember now! I was checking out some information for a meeting tonight. That's why I had to do it then. But after I did that, I promptly forgot all about it (wow, that's incredible) and went on to the other things oh so smoothly, without noticing.

You mean that sort of thing actually happens to people? I'm shocked. Shocked.
