2 Busy 2 Blog

- playing Sardines with 11 fun people in the dark in our house
- smelling the flowers
- walking to mail letters
- decluttering the junk areas in the house
- slaving over the taxes
- aquainting ourselves with the famous (and hitherto unknown except by name to me) Mr. Ed, the talking horse (this show from 1961-1966 is really very cute and funny! The children love it; thanks to Netflix for making it available)
- hugging my husband
- begging God on my knees to dig us out of a self-inflicted bad situation caused by our own foolishness and presumption (and then worshipping him on my knees again for answering so graciously and mercifully and lovingly; then starting in again with prayer for the next need; humans really are very needy so it works out exceedingly well that God loves to be our Provider)
- watching the hard-working and talented pizzaiolos at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria in Mountain View, kneading, pressing, spinning, flouring, spreading, topping, baking, checking, arranging...those guys have insanely lean, muscly arms.
- taking Jason to San Francisco for a chess tournament at the oldest operating chess club in the USA (the Mechanics' Institute, founded 1855)
- walking around our two old neighborhoods in the South Bay with David, on a date
- delighting in watching Jason sing an a cappella solo of the National Anthem at the Berryessa Little League Opening Ceremonies, in front of about 300 people
- telling my daughter I love her, and making her giggle
- doing all the usual stuff (laundry, shopping, cooking, dishes...)
- reading C.S. Lewis (hope to post my next installment of favorite quotes from Mere Christianity some year)
- looking at the sky, the leaves, the African Queen, the lilacs, and the Breath of Heaven:
