Snow Contrast
The snow is all gone now except for the remainders of the snowmen which are clinging on for dear life, but I loved these photos taken on our glorious (if brief) snow day. Contrast between white-laden branches and brick building...
Contrast between untouched and well-used snow.

You have snow in the UK, and we haven't had any snow this year at all :)
-15 C here though, so it's definitely winter!!

I'm trying to figure out what made those tracks.

Paul, that is very cold! A shame to be that cold with no snow. Come visit! Of course, we have no snow left...as of this afternoon, when the last of my snowman succumbed to the 10 degree C air.
Martin, those tracks are from the making of my snowman! In the photo, you can just see the snowman standing in the center of the tracks. The tracks on the left were from the methodical rolling of the bottom section of the snowman. The tracks on the right were from the middle section of the snowman, and then the head was just rapidly squashed together. There was so little snow on the ground (as you can see from the grass showing through) that I tried to use it sparingly by rolling the balls in a closely laid pattern.

It looks like the snowman has been walking in a meditation labyrinth, with the close tracks and quick turns.
