Musical Poetry and A Guy who Carried a Cross through 315 Countries

Tonight David made pork tenderloin with mustard-cream sauce and baby potatoes, and I added in some mashed sweet potato with maple syrup, some sautéed mushrooms with olive oil and bärlauch (wild garlic greens, also called ramson in English - or bear's garlic, because it is a favorite of bear and wild boar!), and steamed asparagus. In Feldkirch, Austria (where we were on Saturday), it's apparently "Bärlauch- und Spargelzeit," which translates to "Time for Asparagus and Ramson!" Right. They certainly are in season.

A cool piece of musical poetry from Carman, especially great for Easter-time.

As my friend Helen said in her Facebook status update, this looks like it will be a very inspirational movie (hold fast through the first quarter of the trailer, the last three quarters explain why it's so interesting!). You can read more details here. Some fascinating facts and figures here.

This guy took

The World's Longest Walk as listed in the Guinness World Records
38,102 Miles, 315 Countries and Major Island groups, 40 Years and 1 Mission

(Carrying a 12-foot cross)
