How did you manage the past three moves?
We ran into friends we hadn't seen in about five years, in the Washington Dulles airport in December. We had lost contact, so they were curious about our trajectory of three international moves since then. If you've been reading here for a while, you'll remember that we moved from California to France in July 2005, to the UK in June 2006, and then here to Switzerland in July 2008. If you weren't around for the ride, and you're curious, too, you can catch up with a few highlights/lowlights below.
Keep in mind that I feel that God made my dreams come true by moving me back to Europe, and that I was ecstatic about it (having grown up in Geneva for 15 years, followed by 15 years in the U.S.). I loved living in a francophone place again for one year, not going back to the U.S. after that one year, and then moving back to Switzerland, the land of my heart! That doesn't mean it was all easy or I didn't get very emotional and overwhelmed sometimes during all the upheaval...but the adventure has been ever so worth it and I am very happy living in Europe.
