South African Reptiles

We only saw a few reptiles...one really pretty, one really ugly, and two scary to think about. And then turtles, but we didn't get any photos of those, because only their little heads were sticking up out of the water, too far away. You may argue that the croc and python were too far away for photos, too, but I can see them...see what you think. :-)

Rainbow Skink on our deck - is that cool-looking or what?

 

Giant Plated Lizard - not so pretty

 

Nile Crocodile - yeah, he didn't want to smile and had his back turned. Possibly incubating eggs.

 

Rock Python apparently incubating eggs in a tree - we actually got out of the vehicle and stood under this tree. Call us crazy. The guide wasn't scared, so I wasn't either. Just kind of excited.
