Christmas Lights

An old friend living on the other end of the continent asked me in email today whether I had put up Christmas decorations yet. This led me to go outside at dusk in an attempt to capture our merrily and brightly lit house on digital media to prove my answer to her.

But apparently I can't hold that still. Instead I captured what look to me like little multicolored birds flying through an abstract painting.

After the sixteenth try or so, I got tired of holding my breath and bracing myself to get that clear snapshot, and began going the other direction, purposely waving the camera about:
