Finally, today, the topic that has been consuming my mind since January 1st can be talked about on my blog.
At long last it is official and announced.
I can hardly believe I get to discuss it here. It's what I've been wanting to do for a long four months.
We are moving to France in July.
Wish I had time to write more on that, but it is presently 2am and I have to be a good girl and go to bed. So your questions on all those details will have to wait.
...Oh, all right, I'll give a few:
Yes, a transfer with David's job, still working for the same company.
Town: Montpellier, on the Mediterranean coast, one third of the way along from Spain, two thirds away from Italy.
Yes, I have family there - my brother, but 4 1/2 hours drive away. Still close enough to visit often.
The plan is for the kids to start in September at a local French public school, so they can make friends quickly and become fluent in French as fast as possible. We have already met the principals of both their schools, and they were really nice.
Yes, we are selling our house here. In fact, it goes on the market tomorrow. Open House this weekend. Look in the paper and you'll see it. ;-) We are planning to buy a house over there and in fact are already in contract to do so, thanks to a househunting trip we took in the beginning of April.
Okay, I'm really tired now after deeply tidying the entire house today in preparation for realtors swarming over it tomorrow during a "brokers' tour."
Bonne Nuit!
2am! Oh man! I will pray for extra energy for you today. Especially since I know that you were working since 6am yesterday. Crazy lady :-)!
But I'm sure the house looks fabulous.

Adieu, my good friend. I will miss you. May God bless you in your French adventures, beginning now even as you sell couches and houses. May you soak in His love and the Mediterranean sun. May He give you rest and peace in the journey.

As you have trusted in the LORD with all your heart, leaned not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledged Him, He will surely make your paths straight, in France and on your way there. I will miss you, but I will come to visit!
Love,
Mom

How exciting for you and sad for those you leave behind. May God bless you richly in your new country and new home, as He's already done as you've prepared these four months. We were just planning a road trip for Sept. and hoped to see you again, our homeschooling friends...rats! We will miss you.
