Enoch passed the baton (after he got it from Shrinkette, who got it from Dr. Sanity, who was passed it from Neo-neocon, who was tossed it by Normblog, who was tagged by Bebere, called by Nick, challenged by Sandi. Wow, that seems to be the end of the line. No one in particular passed it to her), so here goes my stretch of the race:
As far as I can remember at the moment, I have never:
10. Eaten an entire Brussels sprout.
9. Not wanted to attend a chess tournament in which my son was participating.
8. Been to Iceland, Lesotho, New Zealand, Fiji or Bolivia.
7. Sung in a karaoke contest.
6. Been hang-gliding.
5. Climbed the Matterhorn.
4. Not loved games.
3. Driven a motorcycle.
2. Participated in a dance competition.
1. Had purple hair (pink and green for one day, but never purple).
However, unlike some of the other people in this relay race, I HAVE eaten snails, slept later than 9 am, told the truth about my age, lived without a cat, bought a new car, painted my toenails, owned a cat, climbed a mountain, read Lord of the Rings, cooked a risotto, been a spectator at golf, enjoyed gardening, been to NY City, driven a stick shift, participated in extreme sports (skydiving, downhill skiing, etc), had invasive surgery (arthroscopic meniscal repair), been ice skating, gone skinny dipping, ridden a roller coaster, received flowers, been to an opera, planned a vacation, and some other things I'm not going to mention here.
Okay, I think I'll now squarely hand the baton to whomever wants it out of Sami, Randall, Birgit, Julie, Jon, Jor, Helen, Christine, and Jeffy. But I think it's divisible into little bits if you all want to carry it forward in separate tracks...
thanks for playing ! ;)

Sorry, but I won't take the bait and add this to my blog, but in honor of my favorite veggies, I have never:
1. Swabbed the poop deck
2. Veered to starboard
3. Walked the gang plank
4. Owned a parrot
5. Plucked a rooster
6. Been too good at ping-pong
7. Thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall
8. Kissed a chipmunk
9. Gotten head lice
10. Been to Boston in the fall!

btw, it is an interesting experiment in blog degrees of separation. I did go back and read each one of the folks that you listed as having started it (in this manifestation, anyhow).

That's so funny about the Pirates, Randall! I had totally forgotten about that song in this context...I can hear the tune now. But I HAVE been to Boston in the Fall... :-)
And yes, it is interesting to see where the trail leads (or came from).
You're welcome, Enoch! Thanks for inviting me.

Not feeling very memey lately, but just for you...
10. Successfully completed a plumbing project without at least two trips to the hardware store
9. Done any of your #1-9 (#9 has never come up, of course.) (I kind of like brussel sprouts. But not with yellow mustard. Trust me on this.)
8. Been baptized
7. Been outside of North America (unless Hawaii counts)
6. Seen a reality tv show
5. Had a nick name ("jeffy" doesn't count)
4. Changed a diaper
3. Played Go
2. Owned a cell phone (I have one from work, but seldom use it as anything but an alpha-numeric pager)
1. Seen The Wizard of Oz or Gone With The Wind

Oh boy, I've changed a lot of diapers...and enjoyed both the W of O and G W the W a few times. But I'm not sure I've ever seen a reality TV show either (not surprising considering I don't watch TV). Funny that you said "played Go" since I was thinking of including "enjoyed a game of Go" which is a bit different! Thanks for playing.
